About myself

My name is Alexander Anevich Le-Zakharov. I’m a Deputy Head of Department of Theoretical Mechanics for the perspective projects. As for me, the perspective projects are those that could potentially bring money or fame to the department and its employees (or combination thereof).

Currently, I am a manager of several projects. The “Photomechanica Ltd.” and APS (Advanced Particles Simulator) are the major of them and both of them are commercial. The purpose of “Photomechanica Ltd.” is to create automated photogrammetric devices or accessories. Our company produces tables for 3D-photography and develops an inexpensive but high-quality 3D-scanner. The aim of APS (“Altair” Ltd) is to develop a commercial software that combines all the new results in the discrete systems modeling obtained at the Department. “Photomechanica Ltd.” and APS are both residents of Polytechnical Technology Park since 2012. Besides, the APS also is a resident of "Skolkovo Innovation Center".

The SPbSPU Center for scientific and technical creativity of the youth (SCY) was created with the assistance of “Photomechanica Ltd.”. It includes a several branches, the most important of which is the FabLab, an open digital fabrication laboratory. I'm also enrolled into FabLab activity. We have already ordered expensive equipment for our FabLab, the total cost of which comes to 10 million rubles. I do honestly believe that this purchase will help our students to realize their technical ideas and the best of them will became the perspective projects.

As far as this page was created for the department's web site, here is no any information about my activity at the Institute for Problems in Mechanical Engineering RAS, where I am working at the research projects.
