Sargsyan Samvel (was born on 5th December in 1944, in Leninakan-Gyumri, Armenia)-Mechanic, Corresponding Member of National Academy of Sciences of Armenia.

Scientific Biography

Education

  • Leninakan branch of Yerevan Polytechnic Institute: faculty of mechanics (1962-1967), major “Devices of Correct Mechanics”;
  • PhD: Yerevan State University, faculty of Mathematics and mechanics.

Academic Rank and Position

  • Candidate of physical and mathematical sciences (from 1974);
  • Doctor of physical and mathematical sciences (from 1987);
  • Professor (from 1989г.);
  • Corresponding member of NAS Armenia (from 2006);
  • Head chair of theoretical mechanics in Leninakan branch of Yerevan Politechnical Institute (1986-1994);
  • Rector of Gyumri State Pedagogical Institute after M. Nalbandyan (1994-1997);
  • Head chair of mathematical analysis and differential equations of Gyumri State Pedagogical Institute (from 1995).

Work

  • 1968-1994: in Leninakan branch of Yerevan Polytechnic Institute: assistant, aspirant, docent, professor, head chair of theoretical mechanics;
